As the PTA members, we provide support and resources to the school for the benefit and educational growth of the children. We promote and develop a cooperative working relationship between the parents and staff of our school.
So much wonderful news to share with everyone! If you have not heard yet PS 35 has been named a national Blue Ribbon School of Excellence Thursday by the US Secretary of Education. Our school was cited for its over all academic excellence. We were one of only 20 private and public schools in New York State to receive this honor. Mrs. Garofalo along with Superintendent Anthony Lodico will travel to Arlington VA on November 8 to accept the award! The article is on page 2 of the Staten Island Advance today. Along with that wonderful news we would like to share with you the "revised" plans for the back school yard. So much to be excited about!
Here are the totals we have so far for all box tops handed in - The contest ends October 21. The class that hands in the most will win a pizza or ice cream party! Keep sending your boxtops in and make sure they have your child's name and class on them.
The PTA volunteer meeting scheduled for 1pm tomorrow has been moved back to 1:45 - we will have meeting immediately following mrs garofalo's scheduled volunteer meeting. Craft night originally scheduled for this Friday 10/23 will be cancelled and rescheduled - we will notify you with the new date.
